THE STARS AND BEYOND MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA

THE STARS AND BEYOND MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA

On Wednesday 10th November 2010 students from InterAct Walton took part in a fantastic musical extravaganza at the prestigious Rose Theatre in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey.

‘The Stars and Beyond' was a production of music, song and dance sponsored by John Lewis (Kingston) and The Royal Borough of Kingston.

InterAct Walton students took to the stage with a fabulous dance to John Fogerty’s ‘Proud Mary,’ followed by a devised comedy drama piece based on the television programme ‘The X Factor.’ The students then danced to Alexandra Burke’s hit ‘Broken Heels’ and closed with a rousing rendition of Journey’s classic song ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.’

Those also appearing in the show included the Golden Key Theatre Company with music from ‘The Shows',  The ACM Gospel Choir, who were the semi-finalists in the BBC's Last Choir Standing  -  47 National Diploma designers from Kingston College of Fashion and Design who held a Fashion Show which highlighted the individual bespoke garments they have made for 17 athletes from the Special Olympics Surrey National Ten Pin Bowling Team; and ‘ON FIRE' the newly formed Street Dance group who performed together for the first time.

It was a wonderful evening and we’d like to say a huge congratulations to all those who took part!
